I'm Joey Price

My career began with a passion for people—and a belief that HR could be more than policy and paperwork. Over the years, that belief has grown into Jumpstart HR, a nationally recognized consulting firm, and Aspect43, the research division shaping how technology serves the modern workplace.

Through my book The Power of HR and now Joey’s HR Lounge, I’m on a mission to help HR professionals think bigger, lead with confidence, and rediscover joy in their work. This is your space to connect, learn, and grow—a community built to make you as excited about Monday as you are about Friday.

My Story

I’ve always believed that work should make people come alive, not wear them down. My career began with a simple goal—to make workplaces better for the people inside them. Over time, that mission grew into Jumpstart HR, a consulting firm helping businesses build thriving teams, and Aspect43, the research division shaping the future of HR technology.

But something was missing: a genuine space for HR professionals to connect, learn, and be real about the challenges we face. That’s why I created Joey’s HR Lounge Podcast and Community—to bring together the thinkers, doers, and dreamers redefining what it means to work in HR today.

This isn’t just my story—it’s ours. A shared journey to create workplaces (and careers) that make us just as excited for Monday as we are for Friday.

Why I Do It

I’ve seen firsthand how the right environment can change everything—how a single moment of clarity, connection, or encouragement can reignite someone’s purpose at work. Early in my career, I realized that too many HR professionals were carrying the weight of everyone else’s growth while having little space to invest in their own.

That’s why I built Joey’s HR Lounge—to create that space. A place where people leaders can learn, share, and recharge. My mission is to help HR professionals rediscover their spark, lead with confidence, and build workplaces where people thrive—starting with themselves.
